International conference on the Carthusians
An international Conference on the Carthusians will be held at the Theaterhotel De Oranjerie in Roermond on 19 and 20 June 2009. The main theme is: Carthusian Worlds: Contemporary Approaches to the Carthusians and their Heritage.

There will be lectures from internationally renowned scholars in the field of Carthusian history, theology and literature, on subjects such as: recent research into Carthusians, modern representations of Carthusians, current Carthusian spirituality, the reception of Carthusian literature, the significance of the Carthusians for the town, the Carthusians as a source of inspiration for art and architecture.

A collection of conference papers will be edited by Peter Nissen and Krijn Pansters.

Entrance: two conference days, lunch, coffee and tea: € 150,- pp.; € 95, - for (PhD-)students.
